Tributes were today paid to London arts “powerhouse” Jules Wright who has died after a short battle with cancer. Wright, 67, the first female director of the Royal Court Theatre and founder of the Wapping Project arts space, was celebrated as one of the capital’s most daring and visionary commissioners of contemporary art. The Australian-born curator, who moved to the UK from her native Adelaide with her husband Joshua in the 1970s, died on Sunday.
