A retired civil servant faces financial ruin and being made homeless at the age of 82 after his dying wife cut him out of her will and left everything to his stepson. Mary Henein was only seven days away from her death from lung cancer when she made a will leaving nothing to Joseph, her husband of 25 years, a court heard. Instead, she handed her share of their home in Edmonton to her adult son from her first marriage, Joseph Laffa. Mr Henein challenged the 2008 will, blaming Mr Laffa, 56, for unduly influencing her.
